"We all have accomplished so much together," said Emerson 8th-grade student Kaelyn Yager addressing the crowd of families and peers. "Although our time at Emerson has been one of many ups and downs. Through sheer determination and resilience, we made it to this final ceremony to celebrate together our success as Emerson Eagles."

"I cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will do in high school and beyond," added Yager.

Additionally, some hardware was handed out to two students. The Judith L. Snow Ethical Leadership Award winners from Emerson this year are Michael Maranto and Kaelyn Yager! The Judith Snow Award is presented annually to one or two eighth-grade students at each middle school who demonstrate ethical leadership.

Michael & Kaelyn have shown they demonstrate ethical leadership by showcasing these principles: integrity, selflessness, dependability, caring, and fairness.

Congratulations to the Emerson Class of 2023 for a wonderful time in District 64. Good luck in high school next year. Thank you to everyone for helping us celebrate these incredible students!
