D64 schools help the Park Ridge coat drive

Thanks in part to some help from District 64 schools and the rest of the community, more than 1,000 pieces of winter gear were donated to the Park Ridge Winter Coat Drive! This was the first time that Lincoln Middle School and Carpenter and Roosevelt Elementary Schools participated in the drive benefiting the Chicago Strong Futures Program.

The gear was then brought to the Chicago Strong Futures Program at the end of December and delivered to hundreds of families and children on the south side of Chicago. Additional coats were donated to local charities serving Maine Township.

Park Ridge families have donated around 4,000 total pieces of winter clothing over the past nine years. Way to go, everyone!
