We proudly celebrate Emerson Middle School’s 8th Graders who took a significant step this week at Maine East during their promotion ceremony. The 318 students who walked across the stage are now poised for the next part in their stories and are ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
Emerson’s administration shared their immense pride in the outgoing class. “We are extremely proud of our 8th graders and wish nothing but the best for them as they leave Emerson to tackle high school and the next steps of their lives,” said Emerson Principal Tessa Shulman. “We are always sad to see our 8th graders leave, but we know that this promotion will bring amazing things for each and every one of you after Emerson.”
Emerson 8th Grader Maya Nabil addressed the crowd, reflecting on her middle school years. “Time. It’s something you never seem to have enough of, yet somehow here we are at the end of our middle school journey, wondering how it flew by so fast,” said Nabil. “Let’s walk into the next chapter of our lives and not just as graduates but as someone who has grown from who they were just a few years ago. Today isn’t just an ending. It’s the beginning of something even greater. Remember, together we are Emerson!”
This year’s winners of the Judith L. Snow Ethical Leadership Award from Emerson were Giuliana Madura and Hafsa Hakeem.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
