Marty Hopkins named Interim Assistant Principal at Roosevelt

District 64 is pleased to announce that Marty Hopkins will serve as the Interim Assistant Principal at Roosevelt School for the 2025-26 school year.

Hopkins is a retired school administrator with extensive experience, most recently serving as an interim building administrator at Emerson Middle School. His continued commitment to District 64 and his wealth of knowledge will be a significant asset to Roosevelt in the upcoming academic year.

Hopkins will be taking over for Jackie Peters, who accepted an administrator position in another school district closer to her home this summer.

Roosevelt Principal Dr. Kevin Dwyer said, "An interim assistant principal provides the best path forward for both the near and long term future at Roosevelt. In the spring, we will be hiring both a new principal and assistant principal at Roosevelt for the 26-27 school year.  During this time, I will be working at the district office and be available to provide support with the transition."
