Emerson & Lincoln Chamber Orchestras Spread Holiday Cheer Across the Community

Emerson & Lincoln Chamber Orchestras Spread Holiday Cheer Across the Community

On Tuesday, December 16, the Emerson and Lincoln Chamber Orchestras brought the joy of music beyond the classroom and into the heart of our community through a special holiday outreach performance tour. Under the direction of orchestra directors Max Hellermann and Erica Faulhaber, students shared their talents at several local venues, including Summit of Uptown, Sunrise Assisted Living, and Mariano’s, spreading seasonal cheer wherever they went.

At each stop, residents and community members were visibly moved by the students’ performances. Smiles filled the rooms as familiar holiday melodies sparked memories and connection. Many residents sang along, clapped to the beat, and even conducted alongside the ensembles with enthusiasm and delight. Their genuine joy and gratitude left a lasting impression on our young musicians.

The students performed with professionalism, warmth, and musical excellence, impressing audiences who were truly in awe of their talent and dedication. These moments of shared music created meaningful connections across generations and reminded everyone of the powerful role the arts play in bringing people together.

This outreach tour was a special opportunity for our students to use music as a way to give back, spread kindness, and brighten the holiday season for others. We are incredibly proud of the Emerson and Lincoln Chamber Orchestras for representing our schools and district so beautifully while sharing the gift of music throughout the community. The tour was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Hellermann & Faulhaber in addition to orchestra teachers Natalie Briggs and Liz Ballinger, who supported and guided students throughout the experience.
