A season of singing for Emerson's choirs - December 2025

Emerson students singing at Maine South

December was a remarkably busy and festive month for the Emerson Vocal Music Department, dubbed a true "season of singing." The schedule kicked off on Sunday, December 7, when the Show Choir performed at the "Holiday Hawkette Spectacular" at Maine South, performing energetically alongside a giant inflatable Santa.

On Wednesday, December 10, the music continued at Emerson Middle School with performances by the Sixth Grade Chorus, directed by Mike Kennedy, and the 7/8 Singers and Show Choir, directed by Terry Broeker.

The festivities moved outdoors on Saturday, December 13, where the Show Choir and 7/8 Singers performed at the Park Ridge Stroll, singing holiday favorites on a stage beautifully decorated with "HO HO HO" marquee lights and a lit Christmas tree.

The busy season concluded with all singers performing at the school's Winter Assembly.
