Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 is committed to promoting and enhancing children's health, well-being, and ability to learn by supporting healthy eating and physical activity.

District 64 Wellness Plan

As part of the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004 requiring our nation's schools to make student health and fitness a top priority, District 64 developed a wellness policy that promotes student health and addresses concerns about childhood obesity, and its related complications. Schools have unlimited opportunities to influence student wellness which may lead to gains in learning. Staff wellness may reduce stress, promote job satisfaction, and encourage members to be positive role models. District 64 Wellness Council

The District 64 Wellness Council was formed in June 2009 to promote proper nutrition and physical fitness for our District’s students, families, and staff.  Working in conjunction with School Wellness Teams, the Council is responsible for implementing our District’s new Wellness Plan.
