Seniors lend helping hands at our schools

Seniors lend helping hands at our schools

D64 Senior Tax Exchange Program members gathered recently for their 2018-19 kick-off orientation on site at Franklin School's Learning Resource Center. Superintendent Laurie Heinz and other administrators updated our seniors on the many facility improvements completed over the summer across D64 as well as the learning and curriculum focus areas for the year ahead.

At the meeting, seniors had an opportunity to try out Google Expeditions through mobile devices that D64 students use to go on virtual field trips to places like the coral reefs or the International Space Station.

Our seniors work at the direction of certified staff members to help students with their learning or to support other needs at the schools.

Together We Discover, Learn, Grow & Care

At D64, our mission is to foster opportunities for discovery, engagement, and growth for all students. We accomplish this by nurturing interdependence, appreciation of differences, and care for self and others.
